501(c)(3) PUBLIC CHARITY

IRS 501(c)(3) Recognized

The Wildflower Project is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) public charity incorporated as a Montana nonprofit public benefit corporation. Our federal tax-exempt status is effective September 7, 2026. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Faithful Stewardship

We believe every gift, resource, relationship, and opportunity entrusted to The Wildflower Project should be handled with care. As a newly established nonprofit, we are building our financial and operational systems around accountability, documentation, responsible use of charitable resources, and appropriate independent oversight. We will report honestly about the work that has actually occurred and will never invent impact numbers, accomplishments, partners, or results simply to make the organization appear more established than it is.

Governance & Accountability

The Wildflower Project is governed by a Board of Directors responsible for protecting the organization’s charitable mission and overseeing its resources. As Wildflower grows, we are continuing to strengthen our governance structure, independent oversight, financial controls, and organizational policies. Our developing safeguards include conflict-of-interest procedures, separation of financial duties, independent review, documentation requirements, and Board oversight for significant or unusual matters.

Responsible Financial Oversight

Wildflower is building financial controls designed to ensure that no single person has unchecked control over charitable funds. Our financial structure includes independent, non-family involvement in banking and financial review, regular reconciliation and oversight, documentation of expenditures, conflict-of-interest safeguards, and additional review for related-party transactions. Financial review and independent oversight are intended to remain separate from day-to-day bookkeeping responsibilities.

Our Commitment to Youth Safety

The safety and dignity of young people matter deeply to The Wildflower Project. Wildflower is developing youth-safety standards, training resources, reporting procedures, and practical safeguards appropriate to our own programs and roles. When we support outside organizations, we may also consider their youth-safety practices when relevant to the requested support. Wildflower does not certify another organization’s legal compliance or guarantee another organization’s safety practices.

Privacy & Data

Privacy & Data Stewardship: Wildflower values privacy and is committed to protecting personal information. We handle data responsibly and in compliance with applicable laws.

We believe responsible stewardship also includes protecting information entrusted to us. Wildflower is developing privacy, access-control, document-retention, and information-security practices designed to protect donor, applicant, volunteer, youth-safety, financial, and organizational information according to its sensitivity.
